How to Select Shapes in AppSections

The "Select Shape" setting in AppSections allows you to define the shape of media, buttons, and groups by applying pre-defined shapes from the active brand style. This setting provides flexibility in customizing the appearance of your elements, enhancing the overall visual appeal and consistency with your brand style. Here is how you can adjust the shape:

Select Shape

Purpose: This setting allows you to choose the shape of an element (media, buttons, or groups) from pre-defined options in the brand style. Usage: Select from four options to set the desired shape.

Shape Options

1. None: No shape is applied, the element remains square or rectangular.

2. Shape 1: Applies Shape 1 defined in the active brand style for the specific element type (media, containers for groups, buttons for button).

3. Shape 2: Applies Shape 2 defined in the active brand style for the specific element type.

4. Shape 3: Applies Shape 3 defined in the active brand style for the specific element type.

Steps to Select Shape

1. Select the Block/Group/Button:

   • Open your Shopify theme editor.

   • Navigate to the specific block, group, or button where you want to apply the shape.

2. Locate the Select Shape Setting:

   • In the settings for the block, group, or button, find the Select Shape option.

3. Select Shape Option:

   • Choose one of the four options based on your design preferences:

     • None: No shape is applied, the element remains square or rectangular.

     • Shape 1: Applies Shape 1 defined in the active brand style.

     • Shape 2: Applies Shape 2 defined in the active brand style.

     • Shape 3: Applies Shape 3 defined in the active brand style.

1. Preview Changes:

   • After selecting a shape, preview your store to see how the changes look.

   • Check the block, group, or button to ensure the shape is applied correctly and enhances the visual appeal.

2. Check Consistency:

   • Ensure that the shape aligns with your brand’s aesthetic and provides a cohesive look across both desktop and mobile devices.

3. Test Across Devices:

   • Verify the shape on different devices to ensure it looks good and maintains visual appeal on all screen sizes.
