Managing Brand Styles

Important Information

Currently, duplicating brand styles is not supported by our system. This means you cannot create a direct copy of an existing brand style using the AppSections application.

Additionally, each brand style can only be added once through the AppSections application. Attempting to add the same style more than once will overwrite any modifications made to the original style.

Installation Restrictions

• AppSections Installation Only: Brand styles can only be installed using the AppSections application. Manual addition of brand styles through the theme editor is not supported and will result in non-functional styles.

Steps to Add a Brand Style

1. Access Style Library:

   • Open the Shopify AppSections application.

   • Navigate to the Style Library within the application.

2. Install the Chosen Style:

   • Browse through the available styles.

   • Click the Install Style button on the desired style.

3. Activate in Theme Editor:

   • After installation, go to your Shopify theme editor.

   • The new style will appear at the top of the left-hand pane, above the header, in the AppSections Styles category.

4. Ensure Proper Functionality:

   • Verify that the style is functioning correctly by previewing your store.

Manual Recreation of Brand Styles

While direct duplication is not possible, here are some alternative methods and recommendations to achieve similar results:

1. Document the Original Style:

   • Carefully document the settings and customizations of the brand style you wish to duplicate. Take detailed notes and screenshots of all settings.

2. Create a New Style:

   • Manually create a new brand style in the AppSections Styles.

   • Apply the documented settings to match the original style as closely as possible.

3. Verify and Adjust:

   • Compare the new brand style with the original.

   • Make any necessary adjustments to ensure they match as closely as possible.

Important Notes

• Overwriting Warning: Adding the same style again will overwrite any changes made to the original. To avoid losing customizations, ensure you do not reinstall a style without backing up your modifications.

• Manual Installation Not Supported: Styles must be installed through the AppSections application to ensure proper functionality. Manually added styles will not work correctly within your theme.
